Senior Accountant
The Role
This opportunity will suit those who wish to pursue a career that will provide exposure to both advisory and compliance services, ultimately allowing them to develop their career towards becoming a trusted advisor. Working alongside a team of specialists and managers with opportunities to work directly with any of our 5 Partners on certain projects.
Working under an experienced manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Taking responsibility for a client portfolio to cultivate valuable client relationships and identify opportunities for business development
- Applying knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry
- Working on a range of entities including companies, trusts, self-managed super funds, partnerships, and individuals
- Preparing the financial statements and tax returns for your team’s portfolio of clients
- Coaching, mentoring and supervision of junior staff members
- Contributing to the ongoing improvements to processes adopted by the firm
- Providing support for ad-hoc special assignments and value-add work for clients, including business performance reviews, development of tax planning strategies and attending to estate planning matters and wealth preservation
Our ideal candidate will have
- At least 3 years’ Australian experience in a similar role
- CA qualified or nearing completion, with a Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- Demonstrated experience in a Chartered Accounting Firm of a similar size in a professional services environment (business services or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; articulate and well-presented
- Attention to detail, the ability to self-review and perform quality control on work papers
- A naturally inquisitive mindset and desire to understand your clients' overall operations

Intermediate Accountant
The Role

The Role

- Coaching, mentoring and motivating your team members to achieve their best, identifying development and learning opportunities
- Managing team administration including facilitating team workflow meetings, conducting annual performance reviews and recruitment
- Contributing to the ongoing improvements to processes adopted by the firm
- Providing support for ad-hoc special assignments and value-add work for clients, including business performance reviews, development of tax planning strategies and attending to estate planning matters and wealth preservation
Our ideal candidate will have
- A client facing business services professional, who is passionate about offering exceptional client service, working among ambitious professionals while also inspiring, mentoring and managing their team
- At least 5 years demonstrated Australian experience in a similar role within a Chartered Accounting Firm of a similar size in a professional services environment (business services or similar)
- CA qualified, in addition to a Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- Someone who is comfortable working directly across a range of Directors and can manage both up and down as needed for the best interests of the client and work output
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; the ability to quickly build rapport with different personality styles
- Excellent attention to detail, the ability to self-review and perform quality control on work papers
- A naturally inquisitive mindset and desire to understand your clients' overall operations
