Senior Accountant

Business Services

An excellent opportunity has become available for a motivated and client focused team-player wishing to build a successful career in advisory to join our specialist advisory firm to serve bespoke clients.
This opportunity will be attractive to those who wish to pursue a career that will provide exposure to both advisory and compliance services, ultimately allowing them to develop their career towards becoming a trusted advisor.
You will be working alongside a team of specialists and managers with opportunities to work directly with partners on certain projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for client portfolio and cultivate value client relationships
  • Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry
  • Assist/Mentor junior staff members
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvements to processes adopted by the firm.

The Successful Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years' business services experience in a Chartered Firm. Firm including:
    • Preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals, and self-managed superannuation fund
    • Reviewing work
    • Direct client interaction
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major and CA qualified
  • Attention to detail, the ability to self-review and perform quality control on work papers
  • Willingness to learn
  • A true drive to become a trusted advisor to clients.

Intermediate Accountant

An excellent opportunity has become available for a motivated Intermediate Accountant wishing to build a successful career in advisory to join our specialist advisory firm to serve bespoke clients.

You will work within one of our business and tax advisory teams and will have access to a large and varied client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and Lodgement of business and individual tax returns, activity statements (BAS/IAS)
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Working on a range of entities including companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders
  • Undertaking of research and the preparation of tax advice for clients
  • Assisting Managers with client advisory work
  • Committed to providing excellent service to our clients

The Successful Candidate

  • Minimum 2 years’ business services experience in an Australian Public Practice
  • Currently undertaking an Australian University Degree to advance to the CA Programme
  • Attention to detail, the ability to self-review and perform quality control on work papers
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with MYOB, Xero, Excel and Word
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to work well within a team
  • Willingness to learn
